Instrument Rental Return Policy
Please call our office at (800) 366-5993 to cancel your Rental Agreement. Rental instruments may be returned at anytime to David French Music at our Westborough, MA location.
If you are unable to return to our retail store, call us for alternate return options. DO NOT LEAVE THE INSTRUMENT AT SCHOOL WITHOUT ADVANCE AUTHORIZATION FROM DAVID FRENCH MUSIC. Music teachers/School Officials and third parties are not responsible for the return of your instrument. Lessee is responsible for the instrument until it is returned to us.
There is no penalty to cancel your Rental Contract.
Rental payments are not prorated and will not be refunded upon return.
Students who will CONTINUE with music should keep the instrument over the summer. All Contracts are rent to own. Each payment is applied equity toward owning your rental/equivalent full-size string instrument. If you cancel your contract by returning the instrument, all equity is lost.

David French Music Company Merchandise Return Policy
For all returns/exchanges, please contact our office immediately at (800) 366-5993. Items must be returned to our retail store in original condition within 30 days of purchase with the receipt for a refund or exchange. Items returned without a receipt are only eligible for store credit.
Mouthpieces, mouth-blown items and special orders of non-stock merchandise are not returnable. For return/exchange of damaged/defective products, please contact us within 48 hours of purchase.
The following items may only be returned if defective or unopened/unused: Strings, Reeds, Double Reeds, Rosin, Bows, Drumheads, Drumsticks, CD's/DVD's, Sheet Music, Method Books, Cleaning Products, Cleaning Kits, Liquid/Grease Products, Polish/Polish Cloths. Slight inconsistencies in materials made from natural products (including but not limited to cane reeds) does not constitute defect.
All woodwind and brass instrument returns are assessed a $10.00 sterilization fee. Instruments priced over $2,000.00 are assessed a $20.00 fee (this does not apply to instrument rentals).
Any returns on instruments purchased outright through David French Music will be assessed a 20% restocking fee.
30 day Exchange Policy for Intermediate and Professional Instruments
Any intermediate or professional instrument may be exchanged for the same type instrument of equal or greater value within 30 days of purchase. The instrument must be returned in original condition, and customer must pay the difference in price. Does not apply to special orders, only one exchange allowed per original transaction. Restocking fees do not apply under 30 day exchange policy.
